2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser

This year will prove to be a fantastic year as Chrysler releases its newest offspring,
the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Exhibiting a bold and unique design, the Cruiser
is a crowd standout. It's on a league of its own in terms of design and performance.
But one sure thing which will make a great come on is the Cruiser's affordability
and practicality. Considering that the base level PT Cruiser is equipped with
air conditioning, power windows, rear defroster and wiper, six-speaker AM-FM cassette
and 15-inch wheels, it remains a surprise that Chrysler has kept the asking price
at a minimum even with the destination charge.
The Limited Edition model boasts of power windows, power locks with remote keyless
entry, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, rear window defroster
and wiper, power side mirrors, six-speaker AM/FM stereo cassette, fog lamps, center
console power outlet, fold-and-tumble quick-release rear seats, front passenger
side-impact airbags, power glass sunroof, fog lamps and touring suspension with
16-inch chromed aluminum wheels.
The 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser makes use of 2.4-liter inline-4 16v DOHC engine
coupled with the standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 4-speed
automatic. It is capable of producing 150 horsepower at 5, 500 rpm. Though it's
not exactly racetrack ready, but the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser delivers a great
driving experience and is great to drive around. Because of the great engineering
effort that was brought into it, the Cruiser is a stable and quiet ride. Wind
noise, shakes and rattles are hardly heard nor felt.
A peek at the Cruiser's cabin reveals a comfortable room swathed in good quality
upholstery. One of the Cruiser's prominent interior features is its seats which
are not only comfortable, it also offers a wide range of seating configurations
which includes foldable down-to-the floor rear seats to provide wider cargo room.
