2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
The 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser is available both as a sedan and a convertible.
The sedan comes in four trim levels, the base, the Touring, the Limited and the
GT trim. The convertible dispenses the Limited trim but retains the other three.
All trims are fitted with a 2.4-liter, twin-cam four-cylinder engine capable of
delivering 150 horse kicks. It is matched to a standard five-speed manual transmission
and a four-speed automatic is optional.

The Touring and Limited trims have the 180 horsepower version of the 2.4 liter
engine as an available option while the 220 horsepower supercharge alternative
is standard on the GT trim. Taking the optional engines includes the four-speed
automatic transmission for the Touring and Limited trims and a heavyweight 5-speed
manual transaxle or the optional four-speed automatic for the GT. This makes the
2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser a fun car to drive.
It's zippy, though not race car grade, but it does its job well. The interior
of the 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser is laid out thoughtfully with special attention
to driver and passenger comfort. The instrument panel is visibly accessible and
the backlight of the gauges enhances nighttime visibility. The seats are swathed
in plush upholstery giving it a luxuriant comfort that could be a blessing on
those long, cross-country trips. The multiple seating configurations allow seat
adjustments to provide better seating comfort or larger cargo space.
One great feature of the 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser is its use of the Bluetooth
technology which allows the driver to enjoy a hands-free action with his cell
phone. Just by pushing a button in the rearview mirror, he may conduct his cell
phone transactions without taking his hands off the steering wheel. This is especially
great for working people who conducts business while on the go. Safety features
of the 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser includes front side-impact airbags which comes
standard on the Limited and the GT, along with 3-point seatbelts that have pyrotechnically
charged tensioners which tautens the belt upon impact.
